The Glock 17 Pistol is the most famous and used Pistol. The Glock 17 Pistol is mostly used by Police and Law Enforcement departments. Umarex decided to make an Airsoft version of this amazing Pistol. The Airsoft Pistol we are talking about is the Umarex Glock 17 Gen 5 GBB.

The airsoft version replicates the same features externally. The Umarex Glock 17 Gen 5 GBB works on regular green gas and fires with a crisp, fast cycle. The added benefit of this being a licensed product is that it can also work with many other accessories designed for Glocks such as weapon lights, holsters, etc. So you don’t have to worry about having limited accessories to place on your pistol. Most importantly, the Umarex Glock 17 Gen 5 features the latest system which boasts incredible recoil impulse, easy to adjust hop-up and extreme gas efficiency.

The Umarex Glock 17 Gen 5 being a fully licensed product, all the corresponding markings are the same as what you would find on the real pistol.

About the Umarex Glock 17 Gen 5 GBB

In August 2017, Glock presented the “fifth generation” or “Gen5”. They focused on ergonomics and improving reliability. Many parts of Gen5 Glock pistols cannot be interchanged with those of the previous generations. The two Gen5 models announced were the Glock 17 and Glock 19, chambered for the 9x19mm Parabellum. Some changes on the Gen5 models are: ambidextrous slide stop levers, DLC (Diamond-Like Carbon) surface finish for the barrel and slide, a barrel featuring a revised style of polygonal rifling called the “Glock Marksman Barrel”. They also included a deeper recessed barrel crown, a flared magazine well and a reintroduction of a (half moon shaped) cutout on the bottom front of the grip. The locking block pin located above the trigger pin that was introduced in the third-generation is left out as well as the finger grooves on the grip.

“Gen 5” is rollmarked on the slide next to the model number to identify the fifth-generation pistols. The magazines were also revised for the Gen5 models. The redesigned magazine floor plates feature a frontward protruding lip to offer grip for manual assisted extraction and the magazine follower became orange for easier visual identification.

We advise you to use Nuprol 2.0 , Nuprol 3.0 or Airsoft Surgeon Green gas. For bb’s we advise you to use Bioval 0.25 or Nuprol RZR 0.25
